About Nolan Interior – the leading furniture cover brand
Nolan Interior is a US company that produces couch covers to protect sofas from spills, pet hair, and stains, keeping them looking new and clean. The brand was established in 2022 by a small team with the big ambition – to provide families with comfort and style, making their homes cozy places where life happens. Their easy-to-clean products let every family member, including kids and pets, feel free, spending time together without worrying about the mess that sometimes appears.

Nolan Interior's product specifics
Nolan Interior offers sofa covers, mats, and blankets with a variety of textures and styles. They are all easy to wash and refresh, helping you keep your furniture pristine over time with minimal effort. This not only makes your home a space where everyone feels comfortable, but also allows you to save money, preserving your sofa instead of buying a new one.
The company provides a measurement guide and free swatches to help customers choose the right product for their rooms. On top of that, there is a 30-day trial to eliminate any risk when purchasing your next couch cover.

Nolan Interior's challenges in maintaining the Shopify Plus store
The client was looking for a professional Shopify Plus development agency to frequently implement new ideas, updates, and features to their existing custom store. They partnered with a leading CRO company that recommended the DigitalSuits team as reliable Shopify developers who can address these needs. And we had exactly the package required – Shopify retainer services to keep their store up to date within a fixed budget.
On top of that, the client needed to coordinate the work between two hired teams – the CRO company and our development team – and we suggested a clear workflow for timely task completion by both sides.

Solutions we've implemented for the Nolan Interior Shopify Plus store
Performance optimization. The client wasn't satisfied with the store's speed. Their Core Web Vitals were in the red zone. So, we scanned all the pages to identify issues and made code refactoring for Shopify speed optimization. As a result of our work, the performance metrics turned out to be green, and the store started getting higher conversions.
PDP improvements. Essentially, every Nolan Interior's product page contains a product bundle – a set with back, seat, and chaise covers. We've made these pages more user-friendly by adding product variants – different colors and sizes of the same product. This way, a customer can purchase a preferred item without leaving the PDP. To stimulate purchasing product sets over separate items, we also implemented discounts triggered by selecting a bundle.

Accessibility improvement. The client faced challenges with accessibility compliance, since users with disabilities who use screen readers couldn't access some elements of their store, such as the colour swatch option and a chat button. We checked all possible customer flows to identify and eliminate issues that could cause similar difficulties. Now, the store is fully compliant with the accessibility standards, and every customer can pass their journey from the beginning to the end without any barrier.
A/B testing. To check which promo elements work better on the website, we conducted A/B tests. The rules are simple – one group of customers sees specific icons and banners when visiting a store, while the other doesn't. By comparing the engagement metrics within such a test, the client can stick to a more effective strategy.

Buy One, Get One feature. The client wanted to boost customer loyalty by offering a free item for a product added to the cart. The free item had to be from the client's special list and match the color of the purchased product. To make this logic work, we implemented a custom Buy One, Get One feature using Shopify Functions.
Free swatches ordering. Free swatches let every customer get product samples and see the color and material before purchasing an actual cover. Previously, to handle this functionality, the client used a pre-built app. However, it caused too many errors. Our team developed a tailored solution from scratch that allowed customers to filter swatches by color, feature, and fabric, and add up to six samples to the cart.

New design implementation. The Nolan Interior team strives to stay up to date with the latest web design trends, so they created fresh styles and visuals that best communicate their brand voice. Our task in the Shopify Plus store redesign process was to implement the designs and make every element work smoothly. What have we developed?
Header and footer. Our team slightly changed the header and footer, making them more contrasting and consistent with the overall design.
Homepage. We refreshed some homepage elements and added a few completely new sections.
Collection page. We created two templates for the collection page with the 'Load more' feature that replaced an outdated pagination. The first template displays all categories on a single page with the 'Jump to' buttons. In the second template, every category has its own separate collection page, where customers can search for products using filters.

Product page. The PDP structure was also changed. We offered two templates – with the size cards for choosing a single product size, and with the size matrix for quick selection of multiple product variants.
Comparison guide. We implemented a new section – a table for comparing features of Nolan Interior's and other brands' covers.
Mega menu, cart, and progress bar. We added a new mega menu, refreshed cart styles, and updated the progress bar appearance.
Product benefits. Our team ensures the Shopify Plus store update in a section highlighting the benefits of Nolan Interior's covers, making it more readable and visually appealing.

Results of the Nolan Interior case study
Within the last year of our cooperation, the client has achieved a much better customer experience than before. And the best part – it is reflected in higher add-to-cart rates, more completed checkouts, and enhanced average order value.
The implementation of the new designs is not yet complete, but the renewed Shopify UI/UX design is expected to be even more effective than the previous version.

The results of our cooperation in 2025 compared to 2024 tell for themselves:
Nolan Interior got 6% higher add-to-cart rate due to PDP improvements and better overall performance.
The store had 17% more completed checkouts thanks to better user experience and new features, such as Buy One, Get One.
Store's average order value (AOV) was boosted by 11% thanks to more effective product bundles and updated selling strategy.
