Carepod is an award-winning company that produces premium humidifiers to ensure clean, fresh air inside living spaces. Its products are developed using strong medical expertise and cutting-edge Korean technologies with a focus on hygienic standards and safe use. The Carepod founder is a doctor and father, whose mission is to bring healthy, hydrated air to families across the world.

About the product
The company's humidifiers, which include Carepod Cube Plus, Carepod One, and Carepod Mini, are all designed to be mold-resistant, with the flagship models offering sterilizable stainless steel components. In other words, you don't need to worry about filter replacements or bacteria buildup – all you need is to clean the water tank and three easy-to-wash parts. Different humidifier models are recommended for different spaces, depending on room size, so everyone can get the product that suits their home.


Challenge overview – improving Shopify store performance
The Carepod team was looking for a Shopify development team to help them improve website performance, resolve current and emerging issues, and implement features as the project grows. Our solutions – Shopify speed optimization example
Landing page: We configured the 'Why Carepod' landing page, implementing the client's designs and sections that reveal their products' advantages and characteristics. We also added the 'how-to' element and review section with real-world customer feedback. Once this landing page was ready, we utilized newly implemented sections on other website pages. Custom app enhancements: With our Shopify app development services, we improved the client's custom app that lets users change their country at checkout if it's set by default. For example, a customer can switch from Canada to Australia to see relevant pricing and ensure smooth delivery.
Page speed optimization: Using Shopify speed optimization services, we removed deprecated apps and scripts, optimized styles for PDP and collection pages, and fixed bugs and inconsistencies to improve overall store performance and customer experience. Our specialists also improved the functionality of already installed apps using metafields – we ensured the Bumper Shopify app displays the correct texts and prices for customers who add more than one item to checkout.

Orbe app implementation: We configured the Geolocation Orbe app to let customers choose their country when they first land on the store, showing them relevant products, prices, language, and currencies.
Shopify Markets setup: Since the client is focused on Shopify international selling, including Canada and Australia, it was crucial to set up Shopify Markets correctly. We configured the Carepod store to display content correctly to customers from different locations and to smoothly manage orders and sales across markets within a single dashboard.

Landing page for BFCM: Using trending Black Friday ideas, we created a BFCM landing page specifically for V.I.P. customers, featuring special offers on product bundles. The special prices were available for a limited time, as indicated by a countdown timer.
Presale custom functionality: To not lose customers who want to order products currently out of stock, we developed a custom functionality with two options. If a product is unavailable, a customer can click 'Join the Waitlist' and enter their email address to be notified when it's back in stock. If a product is expected to be in stock soon, a customer can preorder it to get it within a certain time period.

Results of Shopify store optimization case and implementation of custom functionality
As a result of our cooperation, the Carepod store loads 19% quicker with no errors, ensuring higher customer engagement and satisfaction. The overall number of sessions per year has increased by 800K, while conversions improved by 23%.
