Building a cloud-based event platform that allows event-makers to hold customized events in online and offline formats

WYTH is an Italian creative studio that enables event-makers to hold customized events both physical and digital using its cloud-based platform.

Business needs

Covid-19 has an enormous impact on online life prosperity. Even the entertainment industry goes online. Since the WYTH company helps brands to create successful digital events, it was decided to develop a unique platform that will provide the most customized solution for clients and enhance their digital experience. The query was to create a Cloud-based platform that would comply with GDPR and deploy infrastructure for each event.

Solution

Analyzing specific requirements, we offered to develop a solution using AWS Serverless and CloudFormation. The first one is a modern solution that saves a company costs on servers infrastructure and time on implementation. The second one enables creation and deployment of individual infrastructure in one click for different clients. We developed two features: a web application for end-users and an admin dashboard for client application management. Moreover, our dev team negotiated with the Amazon team about giving special conditions to handle 5 thousand requests per second instead of 1 thousand that they had already offered.

Result

We developed the platform builder for hybrid events on time and within budget. After one month of software development, WYTH organized the first event using that solution. The number of event participants can reach 5 000 at the same time.
