DigitalSuits is a software development company that focuses on Custom Software development. We work with startups, small businesses, and medium-sized enterprises from the US, Canada, the UK, Japan, and Israel while being open to collaborating with the whole world. We develop solutions mainly for the Retail, Event Management, AI, Real Estate, and Insurance industries. We do software development and digital transformation.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative, result-oriented Project Manager with a deep commitment to success to be a part of our ecommerce department. Working environment
Currently, our Shopify Department has 15 members: 2 PMs, 2 TLs, 1 QA engineer, and 10 developers. So, we're split into 2 teams. We also collaborate with other departments and their representatives if needed, such as UI/UX designers and backend developers. We plan to hire a Project Manager for our team, which currently has 11 ongoing projects: 2 of them have full-time developers sold outstaff, and the other 9 projects are handled inside the team. These projects will be divided between two project managers. We have both retainer projects that require support and completely new projects (development from scratch). Later, we plan to separate this team and create a new one with independent resources and projects.
Requirements
- At least 2+ years of experience in the position of PM in web development is a must
- At least an Advanced level of written and spoken English
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, project management methodologies, tools, and techniques and their practical application
- Experience with pre-sale activities: requirements elicitation and specification, estimation process
- Proven experience in project planning and execution:
- Development of the project plans, reports, timelines, and other project documentation
- Setting the milestones and timelines
- Resource allocation and management
- Risk management
- Project progress and budget control
- Change management
- Daily communication with the team and stakeholders (regular meetings, emails, messengers). Business communication style in written correspondence.
- Maturity and ability to work independently
- Ability to cooperate with multiple teams (developers, designers, QA engineers, Sales representatives) in a dynamic project environment (managing a few projects simultaneously)
- Team-building skills: facilitating collaboration, conflict resolution, motivation, building cohesive teams
- Experience with e-Commerce projects: preferably Shopify, but still can be BigCommerce or Magento
Responsibilities
- Management of multiple projects simultaneously (retainers, ongoing support, and greenfield projects (T&M/Fixed Price))
- Pre-sale activities: requirements elicitation and description, estimation
- Project planning and execution, backlog management
- Budget and quality management
- Customer relationship management: day-to-day communication (both verbal and written), engagement development, project negotiations, etc.
- Proactive escalation of any issues, risks management, news delivery to stakeholders as well as development of mitigating actions
- Project and team performance measurement using appropriate tools
- Cooperation with multiple teams daily
- Working on team development: set a proper collaboration process, motivate the members, provide feedback, and help with the improvement of their skills
- Readiness for continuous self-education and improvement: Shopify courses, PM-related materials
