Ecommerce UX/UI Designer
About the project
We are looking for a responsible and creative UI/UX designer to join our team!
The successful candidate is passionate about delivering adaptive and creative solutions to UI/UX design problems by staying up to date with best practices and emerging trends in user experience design and user interface technology.
For this role, it's essential to have experience in the ecommerce domain and strong communication skills in English. This includes gathering requirements and suggesting improvements during calls with clients.
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a UI/UX designer or similar role
- Minimum 3 years of commercial experience as a UI/UX designer
- At least 1 year of experience working with ecommerce domain
- English level — B2 and higher (the UI/UX designer should be able to communicate with clients, gather requirements, and suggest improvements on calls)
- A solid portfolio that showcases your past UI/UX design projects
- Proficiency in UI/UX design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or Moqups
- An advanced understanding of user interface design, user experience design, interaction design, UX design process, user research, and usability standards
- Strong understanding of UX design principles, user-centered design, and best practices
Personal skill set
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- A team player but can work independently, too
- Combine creativity with an awareness of the design elements
- Detail-oriented
- Critical thinker
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills, the ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with the team

Responsibilities
Internal website:
- Working with the marketing team on DigitalSuits branding and website design
- Adhering to style standards on fonts, colors, and images
- Designing UI elements and tools such as navigation menus, search boxes, tabs, and widgets for digital assets
- Testing UI elements such as CTAs, banners, page layouts, and page designs for landing pages
- Developing and conceptualizing a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy for the brand
- Create original graphic designs (e.g. images and tables)
- Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends
Ecommerce websites:
- Apply specialized knowledge in ecommerce UX design to optimize online shopping experiences
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in ecommerce
- Collaborating with PMs and development teams to ensure the creation and delivery of tailored UX/UI experiences for our clients
- Iteratively refine designs based on feedback, ensuring continuous improvement
- Collaborate with clients to gain insights into business goals and user requirements
- Develop comprehensive customer journeys that map the end-to-end user experience
- Identify touchpoints, pain points, and opportunities for improvement within the user journey
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that align with user needs and business requirements
- Ensure designs are intuitive, user-friendly, and visually appealing
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure the implementation of designs meets usability standards
- Work closely with developers and business stakeholders to understand project requirements
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems
Will be a plus
- Experience working with Shopify
- B.Sc. in Design, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with user testing and usability analysis (e.g, A/B testing, etc.)
- Experience in creating visual stunning motion graphics and animations for various digital media platforms
- Video production experience
